    Human mental abilities include empathy, learning, reflective action, and perception, among others. Mental abilities are related to and dependent on neural processes in the brain.
    Mental abilities can be improved through specific training. Meditation and concentration training improve especially the perception, the ability to concentrate and the attention. Relaxation and sensitivity training harmonize emotional abilities. For dementia patients, memory and learning games can mitigate memory decline and disorientation.
    Cognitive skills are also part of mental abilities, but are often considered separately. In many professions, these skills are very important. Educators, artists, computer scientists, and chemists all rely on cognitive skills. The skills are easily trainable. Creativity, in particular, can be trained to a certain extent and is broadly applicable.
    But mental abilities also have their limits. If we don't train our abilities to go beyond their limits and to develop further, we remain stuck and our brain gets rusty.
    But there are many ways to train and support our mental abilities. Rest, a healthy diet and adequate sleep are some ways to support our performance. A well-planned daily routine also supports our abilities, reduces stress and reduces chaos. Creative pursuits in our free time are an optimal tool to improve our mental abilities. Here, new neuronal connections are created and relaxation is provided. The ability to remember can be supported with the help of pictures. For this purpose, it is sufficient to work with diagrams and postits as mnemonic notes or to play occasional memory games.
