I had a pretty good relationship that lasted a few years. Sometimes there were problems, but we always found a solution. Then I sold a house and found myself with about 500,000 euros to spend in the next three years. I am already over 70 years old and we don't need that money in the bank anymore. Anyway, there is no interest.
I bought a car. Twice as expensive as his car. Not to piss him off. The car just has a lot of electronics that make it safer to drive.
The problems started. She didn't like the car. Yet modern cars all look the same inside.
For years we were together in a sports club. Suddenly, that didn't suit her either.
Then I bought some large plants for my garden. When I bought them, she asked me if I had an adrenaline rush. What a load of crap! I bought those plants because I love plants. Not to brag.
Every time I spent a large amount of money, she supposedly had high blood pressure.
Eventually we distanced ourselves. I don't know how things will develop.
