Already bullying or hypersensitive?
The title says it all.
I work with a small group of colleagues in a department in a larger company. For a while now, I've noticed some negative things, for example that organizational matters are discussed without me and I'm often left clueless. I don't know whether this is a coincidence or intentional. At meetings, the department sits together and only I sit at another table. Sometimes people go to the canteen together, but no one has ever asked me. They're normally friendly towards me, so there's no question of open rejection. But I'm sure they talk about me behind my back, that's the feeling. The head of department doesn't show it openly either, she mostly ignores me. I know that I was only hired a few years ago out of desperation because there were no other applications for the position, she didn't like me even then. I feel totally excluded, I realize that I'm being ignored because they probably think I have no idea, but how can I if nobody informs me? I haven't done anything wrong, on the contrary, I try really hard to please everyone. But I'm withdrawing more now because I don't want to show that it's bothering me, I often go home crying. It's not all in my head, is it?

Quote: "At meetings, the department sits together and only I sit at another table.
This is reminiscent of the state visits to Putin from the outbreak of the Ukraine war. The table was 12 m long and symbolized the great distance and the irreconcilable differences.
Keeping such an open symbol at a distance can be appealing. At least towards the person responsible for the group.
It becomes more difficult with the other points. Sensitivity could also play a role.
