Arrest after bullying at school

What do you think of it when the police come to school and arrest the pupils who they can prove are being bullied in front of everyone in the class and lead them around the schoolyard in handcuffs as an educational measure to teach them a lesson? I experienced this myself in my class when the police came to my class for a bullying prevention program and then suddenly handcuffed all the students who were found to be bullying.

Why not credible? What else would you like to know?
The police found out from statements made by the pupils and from looking at the mobile phones of some pupils that they had bullied a girl in the class. The police took the pupils, who were all about 17 years old, in handcuffs to the patrol cars to make their misbehaviour clear to them.

Handcuffs are generally not used for petty offenses. In my opinion, handcuffing young people in their school, quasi publicly, would require a violent crime. For example, a brawl with serious injuries. Rioting drunks could possibly be handcuffed to protect the police and other people. But handcuffs for bullying with a cell phone? What are the handcuffs supposed to prevent? Handcuffs are not permitted as a means of education. If it had really been the way you describe it, the police would now have a problem.
