  • Extortion is a criminal offense that involves obtaining money, property, or services from an individual or entity through coercion, threats, or intimidation.

Extortion is a criminal offense that involves obtaining money, property, or services from an individual or entity through coercion, threats, or intimidation. There are various forms of extortion, each utilizing different methods and targets. Here are some of the most common forms:
    1. Blackmail:
      • Involves threatening to reveal private or damaging information about someone unless a demand (usually for money) is met.
    2. Protection Racket:
      • Demanding money from individuals or businesses in exchange for "protection" against potential harm, often from the extorter themselves.
    3. Cyber Extortion:
      • Using digital means to threaten individuals or organizations. Common forms include:
        • Ransomware: Infecting a computer system with malware that encrypts data, and demanding a ransom to restore access.
        • Doxxing: Threatening to release private information found online unless demands are met.
        • Phishing and Vishing: Using deceptive emails or phone calls to threaten individuals into providing sensitive information or money.
    4. Loan Sharking:
      • Lending money at extremely high-interest rates and using threats or violence to collect the debt.
    5. Sexual Extortion (Sextortion):
      • Threatening to distribute explicit images or videos unless demands, often monetary or sexual in nature, are met.
    6. Kidnapping for Ransom:
      • Abducting an individual and demanding payment for their safe release.
    7. Economic Extortion:
      • Threatening a business with financial harm (e.g., through bad reviews, revealing trade secrets) unless demands are met.
    8. Political Extortion:
      • Using threats to influence the actions of politicians or governmental decisions, often in exchange for money, votes, or other favors.
    9. Labor Extortion:
      • Coercing individuals or groups into providing free or underpaid labor through threats or intimidation.
    10. Environmental Extortion:
      • Threatening to damage or pollute the environment unless demands, usually monetary, are met.

Each form of extortion relies on the fear of potential harm or damage to manipulate the victim into complying with the extorter's demands. The methods and severity can vary widely, but the underlying principle of coercion and threat remains consistent across all forms.

Lots of text, but what I wanted to know is not included!

Blackmail with the help of the authorities, reports to the police with invented offences

by my neighbour - that's my problem !

My neighbour is an imaginative but also criminal person ! He has filed two complaints against me that are simply made up.
The police investigated me. Shook their heads and did nothing! There is a clearly recognisable motive, plenty of counter-evidence and witnesses. Now I'm afraid the matter will be swept under the carpet and my neighbour is preparing the third complaint.

You can also contact the public prosecutor's office directly. This can help to resolve the matter more quickly.

Criminals sometimes think long and hard about how they can harm other people. It is usually about financial gain. If the financial advantage is easy to calculate, the case is easier to solve. The public prosecutor's office recognizes the motive very quickly and can act accordingly. It is good if an amount can be specified. This makes it easier to determine the scale of the fine.

Extortion with the help of the authorities, reporting invented offences to the police

It seems to be a new hobby. I thought it couldn't happen to me. But now my neighbour has charged me with a fictitious criminal offence. I've gone to a lawyer and filed a complaint. A lot of trouble because a neighbour is no longer quite normal!

The police like to listen to what people say about others. This is indirect spying. My advice: exhaust all legal remedies against these deceitful informers and make them pay until they go to rack and ruin!
