Problems with the neighbor ?

My neighbor has been getting on my nerves for over 3 years! Fortunately, I found this forum and discovered that many people have problems with their "dear neighbor".
My problem: he criticizes everything. No matter what I plant, no matter what kind of car I drive or what color my garage is. Sometimes he even makes things up and takes them to the police or the mayor. Fortunately, it's common knowledge that he's a bit strange. The officers listen to his stories and discreetly put the report to one side.
The mayor throws the letters away straight away.
But, for me, it's always stressful when I see him.

An annoying neighbor is already a big problem. Even in apartment buildings. There are smelly shoes in front of the entrance door or “oriental” cooking so that the whole house smells of it, plus loud music and banging doors at night.
