Neighbourhood terrorism, terror from the neighbour, asymmetric neighbourhood war

My neighbor has found a simple trick to get me down: he calls an authority or writes a letter accusing me of criminal activity.

Then two or three officials, usually armed, arrive at my door unannounced. I am then accused of the charge and have to defend myself for something that never happened or that is to be seen in a completely different light.

My explanation is recorded, but that is not enough to stop the matter immediately.

So I am forced to hire a court-approved expert. In most cases, I also need a lawyer and a translator.

All in all, costs between 3000 and 5000 euros arise. Then the authorities realize that it was all a false alarm and stop the proceedings.

Of course, I am left with the costs.

So my neighbor can cause me costs of several thousand euros with an effort of just a few cents. For him, on the other hand, the matter has no consequences at all.

He has done this four times in the last few years.

That is exactly the problem. Criminals and/or the mentally ill can use this gap to gain advantages. This behaviour also occurs in certain mental illnesses (e.g. fantasies of omnipotence). The authorities usually recognise this, but do not do anything because they are reluctant to deal with mentally ill people.

Normally, a neighbour who makes false accusations should be held responsible for them and at least make good the damage financially. In fact, however, this would involve a considerable amount of additional work for the officials and so proceedings are simply dropped. Let the citizen see how he can cope with the madman.

Yes, unfortunately authorities are repeatedly ‘instrumentalised’ by such people.

They don't want years of legal disputes with the authorities and accept this deplorable state of affairs. Ultimately, the ‘good guy’ is the stupid one!

Perhaps the publications on the internet are of some use. At least here you can write about your frustrations.

      Best regards BAK 3

Yes, normally. But unfortunately that is not the case. You live in a constitutional state and you also get justice.

Certain anti-social individuals know the gaps in the laws and regulations and take advantage of them.

You can defend yourself against it, but it will cost you a lot of money.
