Design trends over the past few years have favored rising shoulder lines, resulting in shorter side windows and a sense of "cocooning" in the passenger compartment. I was sure I was prepared for the trip: My carry on bulged with six changes of clothes, 20 diapers, an industrial size box of wipes, a stack of baby books, three Whoozits, four puppets, two teddy bears, and her favorite bunny rattle. The ES may be the king of the hill, but I'll wager that the MKZ is different enough to garner more than a few cross shoppers.
