There is much discussion about xenophobia and in this context also about "normal" ! What is normal ? What is normal in our culture ? With the help of two examples I would like to share my experience on this subject. I had a Chinese employee. Her name was Chu and she came from Shanghai. It was really like that, apparently a few million Chienese are called Chu.
She worked very well and was absolutely reliable.

One day I invited her to dinner. It as a conclusion cheese. She rejected the cheese in disgust: "it's rotten milk". In fact, for a long time it was absolutely impossible to eat cheese in the Middle Kingdom. This has changed somewhat in recent years. But, in the past, it was not normal for Chinese people...

What to do about xenophobia and racism?
The events do not make it easy for you to answer this question. If the government and the press are treating the people so carelessly, selling them as stupid, then there are counter-reactions.
I used to be left, then green and tend to be non-party. So not automatically to the rights, which is often assumed.
I looked at the posts in the forum and found a clear tendency. Mobbing victims just do not want additional problems with aggressive or criminal persons.
What I like very much is the translation into other languages. This creates more understandings than the constant racism allegations!
