  • Need for information or practiced masochism ? Are news programs dangerous to health ? Does news make you depressed ?

Being informed about current affairs is a must ! Really ? I watch the news with all the atrocities, wars, accidents, climate catastrophes, social injustice, etc., and then I measure my blood pressure.
Then I measure my blood pressure and realize that it has risen considerably. The news doesn't just put me in a bad mood, it's also poison for my circulation and my heart. I also realize that the news makes me anxious and depressed. I
I ask myself now, do I really need to inform myself about the daily news? Or is my health more important?
Somehow it borders on masochism when you do something that ruins your mood and raises your blood pressure!

giving up television, the internet and cell phones can already be seen as therapy. The human brain cannot cope with the flood of news and looks for ways out. This can lead to headaches, depression and even psychosomatic illnesses.
The sudden withdrawal leads to severe withdrawal symptoms, as with a drug addict. Children and teenagers who are deprived of their cell phones and computers start to rage and lash out.
This is actually a disaster for our society. But where billions are earned, the fate of the individual doesn't matter.

Complete nonsense? Well, then switch everything off and wait and see what happens.
After an hour at the latest, the cell phone will be switched on again. There could be an important call.
Don't miss the news and weather either.

Yes, you quickly realise how addicted you have already become. Interestingly, the media, just like drugs, appeal to the addiction/reward centre in the brain. One day we lie on our contour couch and stare at a huge screen on which we create colour patterns. At least that's how it was with the Arkonids in Perry Rhodan.
But then, who makes any money from it? The current system is much trickier!

That is also my experience. The much-vaunted diversity of opinion also leads to a complete overload, then comes this cheeky chatter: you're just not intelligent enough to understand it all. I understand very well that we are being taken for a ride with an unmanageable over-information. Hence my advice: switch off! Then your brain will calm down. You'll be happier and more content again!

Does the news make you depressed?

Definitely, because it's predominantly negative news. As an older person, you also get annoyed because it's always the same shit that's being argued about.

100 billion in special assets, what a brutal lie! These are debts that we, or our children, will have to pay for at some point (with a currency reform).
100 billion applies to Germany. But it is similar in other countries

A humorous contribution with an unfortunately very serious background. I would even go so far as to say that some people are driven crazy by the news.
Being constantly confronted with news about disturbing events, violence or crises can lead to feelings of anxiety, stress or sadness. This phenomenon is sometimes referred to as "headline stress disorder" or "news fatigue".
