I don't know if this is the right column in the forum. But I'll give it a try...

The court has assigned me a public defender. I only found out when the trial was already over. He allegedly couldn't contact me.
I receive 10 emails a day and 25 text messages.
The court and the police had no problem reaching me. But my public defender allegedly couldn't.
I still don't know what he was actually doing.

It was about an (alleged) assault. It was actually an accident. But of course there would have been more money to be made with assault.

And if they can't afford a defence lawyer, then they get a public defender. The accused breathes a sigh of relief and hopes for a decent trial. But, as we know, hope fades last!

I have experienced several disappointments in court. They work it out among themselves. Maybe while bowling or having lunch together. It's good that you can finally write about it on the Internet.
